Lightroom Beginners Guide: Viewing Images in Grid and Loupe View

You'll also learn the various options Loupe View, where you can view individual images at various sizes. Plus you'll get keyboard shortcuts to help make navigating the Library Module faster. You can access Grid View by hitting the G key or clicking the Grid View button on the Toolbar. To access Loupe View either press the E key or click the Loupe View button on the Toolbar. Grid View shows you thumbnails of your images. There is information that you can choose to show on the surrounding cell that you cycle through by hitting the 'J' key. Some of the information you can see includes the file base name and copy name, the flag state -- whether it's picked or unpicked or rejected, stack indicator, virtual copy indicator, metadata status, Quick Collection marker, badges with info that may have been applied such as develop settings, collection, keywords, crop and map location.
