LinuxCNC, attempts to maintain velocity and rounds toolpaths. If acceleration are not set properly or if the clearance are too small, collisions may occur. This is my experience discovering this. While well documented by LinuxCNC, path smoothing is something I never encountered with Mach3. The LinuxCNC documentation recommend explicitly adding your G61 or G64 configuration to the preamble of NC files.
