I do however check the stream chat several times per day. *** ABOUT THIS TANK *** This aquarium shown in this stream contains 60+ African Malawi Mbuna ("rock dwelling") Cichlids. These fish are high alkaline, hard-water maternal mouthbrooders from a large lake system found in southeast Africa (see link below). They spend most of their time among the rocks of Lake Malawi nibbling on algae and sparing for the best spot among the rocks. Despite their vegetarian diet they are a highly territorial species. Ironically, keeping them in a high population tank like this keeps tension low and prevents a single bully from singling out any single lesser fish. This stream is for fish keeping enthusiasts, tech geeks, and/or anyone just looking for a relaxing view of beautiful Malawi Cichlids at home in their natural element.
