Little Lolita is 4-5 years old and as you can see by her pictures a girl of many moods... She is funny, outgoing, coy, playful, quiet, chill...
Lolita is a miracle dog, because it's a miracle that she is safe with us. We rescued Lolita along with her brothers Mouse and Dooley when they were pups who were abandoned under a house. Lolita was adopted but when her adopter got a new job she was leaving Lolita alone for up to 20 hours a day! The adopter's ex-husband found out and took care of Lolita and eventually brought her to live with him. When he passed away, Lolita found herself in yet another home (the man's sister, who took care of her). That woman tried to do the right thing but she is a rescuer who had many dogs at her house and little Lolita was overwhelmed. Then -- the miracle -- the woman decided to keep Lolita's tags in her dresser as a souvenir of her brother... and realized that Lolita had been wearing a ThumpingTails ID tag the whole time. She contacted us and Lolita was quickly reunited with her original foster. She recognized him immediately and came right out of her shell. We were so upset, we had no idea she'd been bounced around like that, but at least she was not abused and she is safe and happy and ready for her FOREVER home.
In spite of all that, Lolita is a silly little dog. She is small, less than 10 pounds, and she is a very sweet, very loving girl. While she was visiting for her photo shoot, she ran and played in the yard, greeted neighbors who came up to the fence to admire her, chased her tail, rolled on her back, gave kisses, cuddled. Then she came into the house where she happily hung out with other dogs from 10 to 100 pounds... and eventually found the biggest dog bed in the house and curled up for a nap. Relaxed and happy. Her big ears fly in the wind, her tail curls and she will definitely make you laugh.
