LSK Revises Advocates' Dress Code

The Law Society of Kenya has released new dress code guidelines for advocates expected to take effect immediately. The code includes the color of shoes which is limited to black, grey, navy blue or brown, the length of skirts and the hair style. Female lawyers should not wear sleeveless dresses and shirts, wearing of culottes, shorts, jeans not allowed plus skirts must be knee length, male advocates must wear neck ties and never remove coats in court without permission of the presiding Judge or Magistrate
