He is the senior most serving OTA Alumni and only the second officer from OTA to take over the mantle of this prestigious institution. He is recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM). He is the first Tamilian in the rank of Lieutenant General to command the OTA. During his illustrious career spanning almost 38 years, Lt Gen Ravindran has held varied command and staff appointments. He has participated in a number of operations to include counter insurgency operations in Mizoram, Punjab & Assam, ‘Operation VIJAY’ and ‘Operation MEGHDOOT’.
Marathal Thagumo?- A tribute to the Indian Armed Forces is an effort to infuse, in the minds of people especially students and youngsters the dedication, and sacrifice done by our Jawans who dare death every minute.
