This song is from one of my favorite bands. It basically tells the story of a young man who is about to get burned to death at the stake by the church for believing in another God, namely Gaia. The song follows the man's thought process about fear, agony, pain, hopelessness.
There is a small segment right before the man dies in which he speaks to Gaia.
There are also parts in which the narrator comes in by saying "he feels, he doesn't know..." etc, referring to the character in third person.
There are segments in which the executioner/father of the church speaks.
This is probably one of the best songs by Mago de Oz, if not the best. They are an amazing folk metal band from Spain.
I would like to dedicate this song to my fellow atheists and to all who have suffered under the hand of any organization, or have been oppressed by any cult. I encourage you to think for yourself, and embrace freedom. And if you have a belief that is dear to you, do not use it to hate, hurt or oppress on others who think differently.
