Deepa Naidu has been a professional Oriental Belly dance artist for 9 years and has trained under 18 International teachers across the globe to name a few like Sadie (USA) , Oscar Flores (Argentina) , Azad Khan (Turkey), Diana (Ukraine) Sonia Ochoa (California), Eva Stehli Attia(Germany),Collena Shakti(U. S. A ), Meher Malik(India), Marwa Ezzat(Egypt),etc to name a few. She is also an Engineer by qualification but she chose to pursue her lifelong dream over her brief stint in the corporate world, Deepa started her belly dance academy in 2016 called, Deepa Naidu School of BellyDance, which is active across six locations in Bangalore. She is also a curator of the Belly dance Showcase called 'ARABESQUE' that happens in Bangalore every year She represented India in 2018 and won first prize in Barcelona Bellydance festival (ODM)and second place in Lituania (NIGHT IN LUXOR), Europe. She was again invited in 2019 to be Master Teacher and a Judge in one the biggest BellyDance festival in Europe called Oriental Dance Meet She aims to create awareness about this beautiful art form, which can be learned by women of all size,shape, and age. She believes belly dance is a path for self-discovery and women empowerment.
