Mandatum Novum - Holy Thursday Antiphons, Gregorian Chant

This antiphon is meant for Holy Thursday, particularily during the washing of the feet. The image depicted is that same profound event, where Christ commanded of us to love on another, even to the most humble servitude. I have tried my best to provide as accurate a set of lyrics and English translation as I could. The chanters' accents and my own inability to decipher the full text render my attempt very pitiful. But, here it is nonetheless: Mandatum novum do vobis: ut diligatis invicem, sicut dilexi vos, dicit Dominus. Postquam surrexit Dominus a cena, misit aquam in pelvim et coepit lavare pedes discipulorum: hoc exemplum reliquit eis. Domine, tu mihi lavas pedes? Respondit Jesus et dixit ei: Si non lavero tibi pedes, non habebis partem mecum. In hoc cognoscent omnes, quia discipuli mei estis, si dilectionem habueritis ad invicem. A new commandment I give unto you: that you love one another, as I have loved you, saith the Lord. After the Lord was risen from supper, He put water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet: He gave them this example. O Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said to him: If I wash thy feet, thou shalt have no part with me. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
