The Quickening was a term coined by Art Bell to describe a period of rapid human advancement where the culmination of knowledge at the end of each age would double, with a period between the late 1990's and late 2010 to be a period of rapid advancement to come, with the following 280 days to double even still, until such a time as Terence McKenna predicted called Timewave Zero, where all novelty would increase exponentially.
