As the God of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rituals and ceremonies. He is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and the brother of Lord Kartikeya, Goddess Lakshmi and Saraswati. Being the embodiment of three virtues namely Buddhi, Siddhi and Riddhi known as wisdom, spirituality and prosperity respectively, Lord Ganesha is the personification of Buddhi Himself. Pushpanjali Mantra Meaning & Lyrics : Pushpanjali mantra is chanted at the conclusion of pujas. Though there are Pushpanjali mantras that are dedicated to particular deities, most Pushpanjali mantras are suitable for all deities and you can use them generally to conclude the puja procedures of any kind of vrat or puja. These mantras are chanted at the fag end of pujas after waving camphor and concluding all the other procedures. Thus, Pushpanjali mantras mark the grand conclusion of any ceremony. While chanting Pushpanjali mantra, the devotees must remain standing and hold flowers in their cupped and closed palms. While chanting the mantras, focus on their meaning and contemplate on the central deity of the concerned puja holding the flowers in the hand throughout. Once the chanting is over, offer the flowers at the altar at the feet of the deity. There are generally four hymns popularly used as Pushpanjali mantras. These four are chanted in the same sequence at the end of the pujas. I. Om Yajñena Yajñamayajanta Devāstāni Dharmāṇi Prathamānyāsan | Te Ha Nākam Mahimānaḥ Sachante Yatra Pūrve Sādhyāḥ Santi Devāḥ || By means of sacrifice the Gods accomplished their sacrifice: these were the earliest ordinances. These Mighty Ones attained the height of heaven, there where the Sādhyas, Gods of old, are dwelling. II. Om Rājādhirājāya Prasahyasāhine Namovayam Vaiśravaṇāya Kurmahe | Sa Me Kāmānkāmakāmāya Mahyam Kāmeśvaro Vaiśravaṇo Dadātu | Kuberāya Vaiśravaṇāya Mahārājāya Namaḥ || We bow to the Lord (addressed as Rājādhirāja Prasahyasāhī or Vaiśravaṇa). May he, Kāmeshvara Vaiśravaṇa, grant me my desires for enjoyment of pleasures. Also bow down to Mahārāja Vaiśravaṇa Kubera. III. Om Svasti | Sāmrājyam Bhaujyam Svārājyam Vairājyam Pārameṣṭhyam Rājyam Māhārājyamādhipatyamayam Samantaparyāyī Syātsārvabhaumaḥ Sārvāyuṣa Āntādāparārdhātpṛthivyai Samudraparyantāyā Ekarāḷiti || Universal Sovereignty, Enjoyment (of Pleasures), Independence, Distinguished Distinction as a King, the fulfilment of the highest desires & Supreme Mastership, & become Ruler of the whole earth during all his life. IV. Tadapyeṣa Śloko 'Bhigīto | Marutaḥ Pariveṣṭāro Maruttasyāvasan Gṛhe | Avikśitasya Kāmaprerviśve Devāḥ Sabhāsada Iti || The Maruts resided as the distributors of food in the house of Marutta, the son of Avikshit, who had fulfilled all his desires; all the Gods were present at the gathering. Pushpanjali mantras are highly symbolic and meaningful. In essence, they pray the central deity of a puja or vrat to give away blessings in abundance and thereby help the devotee achieve the purpose of the puja.
