Mario Diaz-Balart praises Florida for divesting from Iran

October 2, 2007 Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart praised the state of Florida for divesting roughly $1.3 billion of public employee retirement funds from companies that invest in Iran and Sudan. He called on more states to join in the effort and said that the American people's hard-earned money should not go towards helping state sponsors of terror or enhancing illegal nuclear programs.
