Earlier this week, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway posted a video of himself kicking open a bottle. Holloway showed off some serious spinning skills in the video and tagged John Mayer to follow the lead. Well, the seven-time Grammy winner answered — did not disappoint. The challenge first popped up with Holloway but has quickly caught on in the MMA community. The goal is to do a spinning back kick and unscrew the cap of any bottle. Many have been seen imitating this video by Holloway but Mayer, who was specifically called out did it with style. One other UFC fighter who gave this challenge his best shot only to come up short was Belal Muhammad. Muhammad made light of the challenge and put his own comical twist on it. With the recent call out of celebrities interested in fighting in the UFC, including Justin Bieber’s call out of Tom Cruise and Conor McGregor’s call out of Mark Wahlberg, Mayer could have a future in mixed martial arts if that is something on his radar. Although Holloway may not be the right opponent since they are friends, maybe this challenge can carry on to more fun between the fighter and the singer.
