By Dr. Remington Lee Nevin, an epidemiologist and physician board-certified in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He specializes in the diagnosis of adverse physical and neuropsychiatric reactions to anti-malarial medications, particularly the 4-methanolquinoline mefloquine (Lariam®). His work has led to the first clinical description of an idiosyncratic syndrome of limbic encephalopathy and multifocal neurotoxic brain and brainstem injury associated with its use. His current research interests as a doctoral student at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health focus on better understanding the complex pathophysiology and genetic epidemiology of this syndrome. For more information, read his current curriculum vitae, access links to his latest scientific work referenced in PubMed, view a sample of his publications, or please feel free to contact him directly with your questions.Email: [email protected] Mail: 30 South Castle St, Baltimore, MD 21231 Mobile: 410-428-6991
