Men go naked to pray to god

Men gathered here have stripped their clothes off for a very holy reason. They're purifying themselves with water and praying to god. Aomori Prefecture's "Naked Festival" has a more than 400-year-long history. The mercury dipped below 0 degrees Celsius today (Tuesday). The men marched around the neighborhood later on and prayed for rich harvest and well-being.
