Minelab xterra 705 setup and tips (read description for more info)

setup on my minelab xterra 705 Coin/All metal mode settings:- Threshold 6 Volume 30 Tones 4 Sensitivity 20 to 25 (mainly 25) on trashy sites and 30 for really quiet sites Use tracking ground balance until you find a target then turn off else it'll ground balance to that target, tracking ground balance when first selected balances really quickly for the first 3 seconds then rechecks every second as you go along so you're 705 is always balanced to a changing field. I always use number 1 out of the 4 discrimination patterns that you can setup and notch out -8 -6 and 48 (notched out means they are shown on the screen) prospecting mode settings:- threshold 20 volume 24 tones 22 sensitivity 15 while in prospecting mode settings go to coin mode and discriminate out the first 5. so with this set when you find a bouncy iffy target select prospecting mode and then select coins, if it's iron then prospecting 'should' blank it out otherwise dig it.
