Minería Artesanal Ancestral: Una Opción de Vida y Resistencia - Part 2

These documentaries (available only in Spanish) produced for and by the Resguardo Indígena Cañamomo Lomaprieta provide insights into a) the cultural, spiritual and economic importance of the territory that makes up the Resguardo; b) the significance, history and current practice of ancestral mining; and c) the definition of free, prior and informed consent from an Embera Chami perspective, and how this is implemented within the Resguardo. All videos contain diverse community perspectives, complemented by some outside perspectives, and aim to strengthen the cultural identity and capacities of current and future generations in the Resguardo, as they work towards defending their Territory and implementing their rights.
