Meibomian Gland Dysfunction is blockage of the meibomian glands so they don't secrete enough oil into the tears which causes dry eyes or dry eye syndrome. In women, who wear makeup, this is generally the first culprit considered. After being told by my doctor I should never wear makeup again, this started to sound familiar...a dejavu, if you will. My mother was told the same thing. Now all things considered, these are my eyes, precious & irreplaceable but isn't there something I can do...a happy medium. Yes! I can scrub my glands like my doctor showed me (as I am sharing with you) & wear liquid makeup vs powder, especially loose powders. I was willing to make these adjustments but sad that my mom didn't know these things & had to give up makeup. This is why I share what I've learned with you! ? #1/ I AM NOT A DOCTOR.
