?Money Saving Tips: How I SAVED OVER $10,000 a Year (Minimalism & Better Life)

Most people DON’T have $1000 in their bank account. If that’s you we have some work to do. We’re not like other people here. This video goes over my journey and mindset to saving money and getting to $10,000 and even higher... I’ve always been a saver my life starting at McD making minimum wage for years and now saving thousands and thousands of dollars a year, I want to give you my mindset. I live by an unspoken rule if I can’t afford at least two of them then I’m not going to buy one of them. (So if you can’t afford two yachts don’t buy one) Jay-Z might have said that at some point but I completely agree. Starting with credit cards, my parents had me as a co-owner so I have a credit history of like 30 years when I’m not even 30 years old. (Pretty cool trick) I worked a lot, and that entailed me to not spend anything. Same now, I work at a job, my YouTube channel, researching about investing, relationships, and what else I could put cheese on. Dropping all the garbage drama in tv or even people and FOCUSING on the important things in life, you don’t get bored often. So now I SAVE HALF my income...automatically. As soon as I get paid I have automatic transfers into my money market accounts, investing accounts, retirement accounts. I also live by: Spend what’s left over from saving NOT save what’s left over from spending. It’s amazing how when you start focusing on money, your job, salary, income you become more aware where your money goes. Trust me I used to work at a bank, most people are clueless. (NOT you cause you’re watching this video) So if you want numbers: Expenses- around $200 on car insurance and phone bill (NO monthly car payment) $100 on gas for car a month Going out or paying for food if like $100 a week which is A LOT for me Like that’s it...($20 for gym) I Don’t have a lot of expenses. Yes I live at home with parents and I’m not ashamed of that. I worked with a lot of people and a few at like 40 years old are moving back with their parents...I don’t want to be that. I want to set myself up NOW and be stable instead of lying to myself that I can pay for rent and save and all this other stuff. I had a college professor say that MORE people should stay at home and save their money. Yes you’d have to like your family members and if they want a little bit for rent fine! Keep it in the family. I was able to save $100k to my life right now and there are many factors. People saying not having rent, or having a relationship, or not having kids is the reason. These might be additional obstacles but it’s not like if you have rent you can’t save money. It’s NOT BLACK AND WHITE I state how much I saved because even if you saved half of a half of a half of a half of what I did if would be SOMETHING! So honestly all that says to me is that you come up with excuses and don’t make things happen. “Excuses are very easy to make. Money on the other hand is a little harder. Which would you rather make?” - Reallife Money So it boils down to where your focus is and where you put your time. If you put time into watching sports, don’t wonder why you have no money... And not for nothing, we’ve been in a good economy for like 10 years now...imagine if we turn into a bad economy for awhile.
