This compact camera features a 1/2.5" 5.0 megapixel CMOS sensor. It is capable of recording full motion H.264 video at 1080p at 30 frames per second or at the lower 1280x720p resolution at a full 60 fps. It also supports an intermediate 1280x960p mode at 30 fps. In addition to video recording it is a 5.0 megapixel digital camera with the ability to take individual still shots, take a burst of 10 shots in rapid succession, or continuously taking single shots at intervals from 1 ~ 60 seconds for classic time-lapse videos. A significant feature is the ability to communicate with a connected smartphone using WiFi. In this manner you can view videos and still shots on your smartphone without removing the camera's microSD card (up to 32GB, not included). The camera can be controlled directly or remotely using the included wrist strap remote control. The remote uses RF to communicate with the camera, so it doesn't need to be pointed in any particular direction to work. The camera comes with a number of mounting accessories, the most significant of which is the Waterproof Case. When enclosed in the waterproof case, the camera can be used in fresh or sea water at depths up to 196 feet (60 meters). The included accessories allow you to mount the waterproof case to a flat or curved surface, or to a standard 1/4"-20 threaded UNC mount (i.e., tripod mount). Additional accessories, including chest and head mounting straps, will be available from Monoprice shortly. The camera features a small LCD status display, which shows the recording mode, the number of recordings already made, and menu prompts for changing the camera's settings. It is powered using a single SLB-10A lithium-ion battery (included). The SLB-10A is a commonly used camera battery, making it an easy matter to find additional or replacement batteries. It also features 256MB internal flash memory, so you can take a limited number of test shots without needing to install a microSD card.
