Mookie Blaylock Defense vs Bulls - 1997 NBA ECSF

Mookie Blaylock - probably the best 6-foot-or-less defender of all-time. In the 1997 ECSF against the Bulls, Blaylock showed all the tools that made him such a great defender. His off-ball was great, his transition defense was excellent, and his rotating defense was nearly perfect. Mookie didn't get to show as much of his on-ball defense because he primarily guarded lesser offensive threats like Harper, Kerr, and Brown, but his help defense on Jordan, especially on double teams was great, and his on-ball D was great when he had a chance to show it. Blaylock also did a good job of leading his man into traps for Mutombo to alter their shot or swat it away. On top of all that, Mookie did a great job at getting steals while at the same time avoiding gambling too much to get burned on defense like other players with big steal numbers (Allen Iverson and Chris Paul come to mind). Mookie Blaylock holds the NBA record for most seasons averaging 2+ steals per game, he did this in each of his 11 seasons as a starter * almost all of the first quarter of Game 4 was not broadcast due to the Sonics-Rockets game that went to OT, so some footage is unfortunately missing
