Muama Birin Afa 2, co-creation Joana Peres (Portugal) & Ballet Matam (Guinée)

"MUAMA BIRIN AFA" means want to bring peolpe together. Is a show created in co-production between Joana Peres (Portugal) and Les Ballets de Matam (Guinea). The creation process started in November 2012, based on Joana Peres artistic residency in Conacry. Bringing together traditional West African chants, rythms, movements, embraced by contemporary influences, and cultural distances and values.
