Утром было решено поменять маршрут, и лететь другой дорогой, через пустыню и пески. Но вместо степей и песков перед ними открылись великолепные леса и луга. Запаниковали гуси, обвинив вожака в том, что он заблудился, и выбрали вожаком его помощника. Но после недолгого полёта вся стая прибыла на родную Василисину заводь.
