In 2011, after the massive success of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and the opening of Gran Canaria, there was only one more place to stage the show that was within easy reach for MRS T and her stage crew. An island with more British tourist arrivals than all the other 3 islands put together. It was at this moment that the bosses at MHT HQ realised that the little business that started off as a bit of a laugh in a very small 50 seater bar almost 20 years ago was about to become one of the biggest shows of its kind. They were about to do something that no other show had ever done before. The Music Hall Tavern was to become the first ever touring show staged weekly in 4 different holiday destinations showing the same show with the same cast. MHT was about to become massive. Tenerife was about to become the home of the biggest venue MHT had ever taken on and knowing that the company had expanded more than 3 times in size during a recession already, the contracts were signed and the project went into production. It took 16 weeks to completely refurbish what was a foam party venue into a glitzy show palace. 10,000 square meters of Carpet were delivered and fitted, 500 seat covers, 200 table cloths and LED sequined table decorations, and not to mention the size of the lighting rig and logistical stage computer system. MHT had set its sights on taking on the biggest adventure of its lifetime. On the 20th of November 2011, just 10 months after the opening of Gran Canaria and in conjunction with their TV series on sky TV 'The Mrs T Show', MHT Tenerife was opened and the dream was then real. Everything was bigger than ever before, the stage, the lights, the venue, the bar, the costumes, the sound, absolutely everything was massive. It wasn't long until MHT started to be frequented by Celebrities who were coming to see the show and putting the name on the map. It was here that the adorable 'Denise Welch' stood up in the middle of the venue and congratulated MRS T and her stage crew and then went back to ITV1 and made a live announcement on 'Loose Women' for the whole country to go and see the show. What better publicity could we have ever dreamed off. We look forward to sharing our creation and dream with you !!!!!!
