My Film Favorites of 1984

A montage of stills from my favorite films and performances of 1984, set to a favorite song from that year. These are just my personal favorites (but you could think of these as alternate Academy Awards). I've chosen my top 6 favorite Supporting Actresses and Actors, Actresses, Actors, Directors, and Films, highlighting my absolute favorites. These aren't necessarily "the best," just my favorites: Movies I could watch again and again. Great acting, singing, entertaining. Iconic stars in iconic roles. Films that blow me away. Stories that grab me. Performances that surprise me. But nothing that bores me. I only agree with the Oscars about half the time. Enjoy! Agree or disagree, I'd love to hear your favorites.
