There are many restaurants where you can eat them, but in this case at my friend's house we built up everything from zero in order to enjoy the noodles. Kameoka is located about 20 km to the west of Kyoto city. Is a rural town with rice fields, mountains and rivers. Lots of trees, animals and nature combined with the old style streets and houses, creates and special atmosphere that reflects the life style of the Japanese country side. We cut the bamboo from a forest nearby and cut the pipes, cups and even the chopsticks from it. Then we mounted the pipes and made the arrangements. It was a cool experience to take part in the preparation; at the end we all felt satisfied not only because of the good meal, but also because of the hard work we did. After eating we took a walk around in a small river where I found a little crab.
