David Frayer, a KU professor emeritus of anthropology, talks about a finding (http://bit.ly/1EvZQ9D) and his work with a Croatian team who discovered a set of eagle talons in present-day Croatia dated approximately 130,000 years ago include several marks and polishing facets that show they were manipulated into a piece of jewelry, clearly before human inhabited the region.
