In this video, I talk about Nekketsu Oyako aka Hot-Blooded Family, a launch title for the original PlayStation system (now 20 years old this year!), developed by Tecnosoft, a company probably most famous for its Thunder Force series of games. Nekketsu Oyako is a 2D side-scrolling beat 'em up in the same tradition as games like Final Fight and Streets of Rage. While it doesn't accomplish anything new for the genre in terms of innovation or gameplay mechanics, it is a hugely entertaining and uniquely humorous game that has been nearly forgotten in the tides of gaming history.
Japanese title: 熱血親子
Release date: 12-3-1994
Publisher: Tecno Soft
Developer: Tecno Soft

Other games featured in this video are Capcom's Final Fight: Double Impact (Xbox 360), and Sega's Streets of Rage 2 (Xbox 360). All "background music," is audio recorded from the game itself and not from any external source, such as a CD or MP3.
Gameplay was captured using the Elgato Game Capture HD, and video/audio was edited using Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite, Version 12.
