New System 2... Again... (Simplex 4008)

Well, the 4010 is no more! I had an "External N2" trouble that I could not get rid of and fellow techs told me that it was a common problem with early 4010s that could only be resolved by replacing the board. Not wanting to go that route, I came across a brand new 4008 w/ LED annunciator! After a month-and-a-half of just sitting around, I was finally able to install it this weekend, and test it as well! The LED annunciator is cool and simple enough to program. In terms of LEDs, the top LED is red for an alarm condition and the bottom LED is yellow for a trouble condition. In terms of NACs, all LEDs are yellow for trouble conditions (there's four NACs with this panel, but I only labeled NACs 1 and 2 since NACs 3 and 4 are not being used. Everything device-wise is the same as it was with the 4010, so this "upgrade" was nothing more than a panel swap out. I'm not sure if the 4008 likes the MDL/SpectrAlerts, as it makes some odd noises when the event is unacknlowledged and the signals are sounding. Also note that it briefly goes into trouble upon being silenced. I checked the LED annunciator when that happens and it is NACs 1 and 2 that cause the trouble, so it mush have a bit of trouble finding the resistors at first. Nevertheless, the panel is normal when reset, so I'll call it a success! I'll also call this "New System 2 Test 3" just to keep things simple. Enjoy!
