The Real Estate Forum has identified 3 individuals who, it says, have shaped the landscape in New York City. First up is Gary Barnett who is president of Extell Development Corporation the developers behind the tallest residential building in town; One57. At just over 1,000 feet high, One57 is due to open for occupancy this year, but already Barnett is planning an even taller apartment building just a block away called One Hudson Yards. Number 2 is Albert Behler, president and CEO of Paramount Group Inc., who presides over a trophy office portfolio exceeding 14 million square feet. Behler's empire includes 1633 Broadway, one of the ten largest office buildings in Manhattan. Last, but not least, is Daniel Brodsky who heads up the Brodsky Organisation, an apartment owner and developer launched 3 generations ago in 1951 by Nathan Brodsky. The firm now has more than 60 developments across Manhattan and will soon make its first foray into Brooklyn with the second phase of the City Point mixed-use complex.
