Here is one that i'm so insanely proud of and really stoked on, the Forest Kingdom theme aka Alien Manifestation from NieR: Automata!! Quite a few off you guys have requested this alongside some others that I will shred up pretty soon! This was actually the first NieR theme I heard (not even because it plays at the beginning of the game in a simplified form) but because I was introduced to NieR Automata initially by watching a friend play through this level. The theme really captivated me and sparked my initial interest in the game and it's amazing soundtrack. This theme has a really awesome melody that's very simple but very haunting and epic. I love how the harmony of the vocal melody works in 5th's instead of the usual 3rd's which gives it this very majestic and metal-friendly vibe. 5th harmonies are the bread and butter of some epic metal! Arrangement wise, I tried the best I could to tear this theme apart and rebuild it with my own riffs. The backing riff that repeats throughout the piece is such a metal riff already and I just added some sick palm muting chugs to give it that power and that was a wrap on that! I incorporated some breakdowns later in the song and also opened it up with some minor and major chords! The chord progression in the chorus is so brilliant and it was a blast to figure out a guitar-related way to play through it. I hope you guys enjoy this cover as much as I enjoyed making it.
