Nike shares fall after Colin Kaepernick ad launch

Most known for kneeling during the American national anthem in protest at police brutality before being blacklisted from the NFL, Colin Kaepernick has become an ambassador for Nike. The brand decided to harness the power of dissent by signing him for their 'just do it' 30th anniversary. The response was seen on social media with #justburnit trending on Twitter and a share price decrease on the US stock markets. The President who criticised the footballer in 2017 called the decision 'terrible' however he told the Daily Caller that Nike was one of his many tenants and respected the freedom to choose.
