"Here is my video for "Poke" for the "Midnight Organ Flight. " I picked the song "Poke" because when I heard that song for the first time it was one of those hair on the back of your neck standing up life changing moments that music can do to us. I did my video and redid my video so many times I finally just had to send it off. The vibe I was trying to convey in this version is that touring and travelling is chaotic, it can be lonely but it can be fun and amazing. What I also wanted it to say was that we need to take the time to appreciate the moments we are in as they are happening. To recognize the impact, no matter how small, we have on the people whose path we cross. The meaning of this Midnight Organ Flight project that we are a part of, or at least in my mind, is to build a community and to gather like minds. I think about Scott and if I could have said to him at that moment, "This is the impact you have had on me, how I remember you, why you are important and why we need you here tomorrow." I think it's important to see each other that way as well.
