2018 update I considered "I smile at meeting fate". Initially - I translated it "You can't forget!" and then I removed the exclamation because in English it's a colloquial expression that creates an imperative mood like: "Don't you forget!"or "Don't forget!". This isn't the meaning in the song. "You can't forget" could still be misunderstood without the exclamations. The more precise meaning of "Не сможешь забыть" is "You aren't (and won't be) able to forget" but I prefer a shorter variant here. "пересекали" = "we crossed" as in "we traveled across".
