Ontario Blizzard Watch update #6: Halloween / Nov 1st Snowfall Location

8 days later, the long range models hold true. Crazy how amazing long range weather forecasting can actually be. Image 1: our final Halloween % percentage forecast for more than 1 inch or 2.5 cm of snow accumulation on the ground. Areas in the blue also have a fairly good chance of seeing 2 inches / 5 cm or more by the end of Saturday. Mostly rain until later this evening when it will turn into flurries. The warmer ground is the only variable in regards to accumulation the further you get south but we'll see how it goes. Image 2: A couple models are calling for crazy snowfall. This is much less likely but we're dealing with Canadian weather and therefore, anything's possible. This model from Goldenhorseshoeweather.com is forecasting (in cm) up to 20 cm of snow for Blue Mountain and areas south of there (yellow), 10 - 16 cm for the areas in red and even 24 cm for Britt and northern Muskoka. Some apps are calling for 30 cm in Alliston. Here's hoping those models are incorrect.
