This new series is about female modeling techniques to be used in Autodesk Maya. Its a full complete tutorial, no steps skipped, on one of the many workflows that can be used to create a female.
In Series 1 we will complete the full model, in polygons, from head to toe. We will begin with modelling the body first along with the face in a separate scene and then bring them together.
In Series 2 we will add muscle definition and detail from finger nails to back muscles and eye details.
In Series 3 we take the long process of UV layout ready for tectures and lighting. We will use a mixture of both Maya and UVLayout v2.
The images that will be used are royalty free from the Ballistic Ultimate DVD 1 (http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/dvds/ultimate/ultimate01), this is a great dvd worth of reference material.
The techniques used here can be transferred to any other 3D design package of your choice.
I claim to not have complete knowledge of anatomy, and will be doing my own research as i go along with this tutorial series.
All the work in this tutorial will be done by me, and can not be distributed without my permission (You can ask, as i am a nice guy)
Lets have fun and start modelling.
