Orkan Warranty - Can you get parts for an Amazon bike?

The Orkan mountain bike is available on Amazon. It is a very affordable mountain bike that is loaded with features for the price. All the features come at their own cost however. That's because there are many shortcuts made to get the bike to the low price point. There is also a little deception in that you don't always get what you're supposed to get on the bicycle. The frame has horrendous welds and an over abundance of frame flex. The shifters aren't the Microshift index shifters you're supposed to get. Instead you get knockoffs of the cheapest Shimano shifters available. The rims are also single wall instead of double wall. Then there are the components that are known knockoffs - like the SunRun derailleur. I also have suspicions that the rear derailleur is also a knockoff Shimano product. The bike lasted less than 2 hours on a very easy trail before developing excessive wear in both hubs, but the rear hub in particular. So much so that it became noticeably difficult to ride. I kept the bike in the basement not knowing what to do with it as it is mostly useless as a parts bike. Then I remembered the bike was supposed to have a warranty. After checking the instruction manual I see there is a warranty, but there is no mention of how to make a warranty claim. Not knowing any other options I contacted the seller on Amazon in an attempt to file a warranty claim to get replacement hubs. I figured I could get the bike back in working order for at least street use. Surprisingly, the seller didn't offer replacement parts. Instead they responded with a pre-paid return label and instantly refunded my money. Shocking, but I'm familiar with items you can't get parts for. Judging by the build quality and knockoff components I would guess it is cheaper to replace bikes than it is to worry with parts. Lesson learned. Cheap bikes on Amazon that are from unknown brands are IMO not worth the money when a local Big Box store will at least have a bike from Pacific Cycle that does have warranty claims procedures and available parts.
