They're standing in front of our altar. To the right our room, to the left our dining table & further back, our kitchen. The rest of our house is from behind the camera position. Pic taken just prior to my grandfather passing about 35 yrs ago.
THIS IS MAA, Our MIGHTY MAA. THIS IS DaJo, our grandfather. Her name is Kowsilla & later Presant for state formalities for she's only known to me, my cousins and her Great Grandchildren as Maa.
To my knowledge, she hasn't worked a day in her life for money of which she calls the root of all evil. But this old lady always had enough to feed me. She worked way harder nevertheless, as countless of us passed through her home & she cared for each & everyone of us, wholeheartedly!
I will tell you her story... of love, of devotion, of tenderness, of care, of character, of power, of will, of style, of sleep, of wake, of me, of my cousins, of her children, of friends, of enemies, of guests, of relatives, of her last fight, of our last prayer, of her last breath, of her last squeeze of her eyes.
