Hi! My name’s Felix. And today, you’ll find out how to make You think that’s impossible? Then, this story is for you. I was born in a family of musicians. My mom is a singing teacher, and my dad is a conductor. It would seem that with such abilities, I should follow my parents’. But I want something else. I’m more interested in engineering. So, I would like to become an engineer. My parents don’t count with my opinion and they don’t respect it. So, they got me to a musical college. It is considered to be one of the very prestigious in our city. Only some gifted kids with a great musical talent can get there. Though we have some exceptions, like me. I had a drag with my parents there. Frankly, I regret I’m not studying at an ordinary school. I feel so sorry I have to spend my time spent on the music. I don’t plan to devote my life to it. Our head teacher distinguishes me from other students and believes I have excellent singing abilities. So, she always forces me to perform with singing during some events not related to our college at all. Why does she do it? Because we have an agreement with her: she tells chemistry and history teachers to turn a blind eye to my academic performance in these subjects and she covers my skipped classes. And in turn, I don’t refuse her when she asks me to give a solo concert. Since I’m not that good at chemistry and history and sometimes I miss the classes, I have to agree with her. Over the last year of my voluntary-forced cooperation with the head teacher, I had more than 30 concerts. I had to sing at the City Day, at the wedding of her son, at the birthdays of her friends and at her anniversary, and even at the parties of some organisations. Well, at such moments, I feel like a real clown. People go about their business, eat and drink. And I’m somewhere at the background, entertaining them. On the birthday of some company’s director, the man made me sing love songs. Oh, if only you knew how I hated all this! But there’s an agreement. So, I have to bear all this and fulfill any requests from the audience to get a small benefit for myself. My parents are sure I sing on my own will and hope that in my future, I’ll devote my life to singing. If only they knew how hard it was for me to force myself to sing every time! Once, after some corporate party, I heard raised voices between the head teacher and the corporate organizer. The head teacher shouted it wasn’t the amount they had agreed on. And for that money, she could sing herself. After they saw me, they shut up at once. And I suspected there was some kind of conspiracy. But which one? To pay money for a singer-student’s concert? I didn’t think anyone would do it. Most likely, it was about something else. But everything became clear when my friend called me and said he didn’t know that I was making money on concerts. I couldn’t understand what he was talking about. And he sent me a link to the site where there was my photo, my portfolio with my concert videos and the... my head teacher’s number. It turned out my friend’s dad asked him to find a singer for his birthday. So, he found that site. I couldn’t believe the head teacher made money on my concerts. And it was even harder for me to believe I was much in demand as a singer to earn something from my concerts. But I wondered how much my concerts cost. So, I asked my friend to find it out through the phone number shown in the ad. You won’t believe it! For a 1-hour concert, my head teacher asked $500! Just unbelievable! For this money, I could buy a new phone or sneakers. And it’s only from one concert. And in a month, I have at least two. After that, I asked myself what to do with the head teacher now. I didn’t really want to keep on being a consumable on whom they cut loot. Then, I decided to tell everything to my parents. I understood most likely, I would have some punishment. But there was no other way out. I needed to end this once and for all. Dad was the first to know everything. He said: "Since you can gain from it too, then why stop singing? I advise you to think well again and weigh everything." What? Was it my dad who said this? His son entertained drunk companies, while the head teacher had a good profit from this. And my dad said "think well"? I was beside myself. I hated dad at that moment, but still decided to talk to my mom. And when she found out about everything, she first went to that site to see everything with her own eyes. And then, she said we needed to go to the police.
