PART 2: Throwing Colt Knives and Condor Dismissals

This video is the second part to a review on the Colt Throwing Knives and Condor Dismissals. PART 1: Review of Colt Knives and Condor Dismissals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zPyTJcFuPY No-spinning the Colt Throwing knives took some time getting used to. Because of its light weight and rubber handle, they felt fragile and reminded me of throwing spikes. The best distance I could get out of them for the no-spin technique was 4 meters. The Condors on the other hand are great for no-spin, given its smooth spine. My maximum no-spin distance with the Condors is 4.5 meters. I could probably get more distance out of them if they were 2" shorter, as I prefer 10" knives for no-spin. But they worked great for both no-reload throws and half-spin throws. As for rotational throwing, I was more consistent sticking the Colt Throwing Knives, mostly because I could use the "pinch grip" I've been using for the years. Although, I don't think my grip is the best grip for being consistent, this grip comes naturally to me, possibly because I'm used to feeling the knife release from my index finger, rather than from the thumb (handshake grip) or palm (hammer grip). With the Condors, I couldn't use the pinch grip on the blade because it was too uncomfortable. I was more successful using the handshake grip on the blade-- although, I need more practice with it! But other than that, I think the Condors are great throwers as do many other knife throwers. Compared to the 12" Sure Flights, they're thicker, heavier, and don't burr as badly. For the Colt Knives, the knife would shift around within the handle during handle throws because I had to tie the handles on They also didn't seem to fly as smoothly through the air. You could actually hear the Colt knives flipping through the air (as if there was air resistance). I think this is due to the thick rubber handle next to a thin blade.
