P.E.I. AND NOVA SCOTIA 1965 - 8mm Film Reels 8mm Film; Summer 1965 my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother plus their two friends drove the 1,700 km from Toronto to P.E.I. stopping at some interesting places a long the way. Passing through Lake Placid NY and stopping at WhiteFace Mountain which would later host the alpine skiing competitions of the 1980 Winter Olympics. A few shots from Ausable Chasm and Santa's Village NH. Magnetic Hill (New Brunswick) Finally arriving at Price Edward Island. The most striking images for me were of the fisherman carving up the whale carcass. The film ends with a few quick shots of the drive back Ontario (stopping at "The Farmer's Daughter") The newly commissioned Maple Leaf Canadian flag flies under the sign of "Ontario Welcomes you". *Flag adopted Feb 15, 1965.
