Michael Shank, Director of Foreign Policy at the Friends Committee on National Legislation and Adjunct Professor at George Mason University's School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, discusses the latest Pentagon corruption scandal in which Boeing overbilled the Defense Department by nearly $14 million. Shank discusses the pervasiveness of corruption, waste, fraud and abuse within the Pentagon, defense contractors, and US military personnel operating within Afghanistan and Iraq and the hundreds of millions of American taxpayer dollars that have been stolen. Shank calls for a Special Inspector General for Overseas Contingency Operations and a permanent office for independent oversight, lauding the oversight work of the Special Inspectors General for Afghanistan and Iraq Reconstruction.
