The CSU is still firmly in control of Bavaria, where the party still enjoys a large majority. But that could all change after the state elections of September 28th. There are more parties on offer than ever before. For the first time, the Liberals have a stake in parliament. The CSU also faces a challenge from independent group the "Free Voters".
