Candy Crush Saga is an absolute phenomena to the point that it seems like more people have played it, than haven't played it. The creators, King.com, showed us a new game at E3, that just hit the App Store today. That game is Pet Rescue Saga, and it's another super inviting matching game, but with a whole new style as compared to Candy Crush. Your goal is to clear the board by matching colored blocks, a bit similar to Qbeez, and there are pets stranded at the top of these blocks. Your goal is to help get the pets to the bottom of the screen across 72 levels through multiple episodes. Like Candy Crush, there's Facebook friend connectivity seen on the map, and there's also cross platform progress syncing.
Pet Rescue Saga (Free, Universal) is brand new for iOS, and perfectly suited for touch. There's a similar in-app purchase structure as Candy Crush, when it comes to additional moves and power-ups, and there's the same potential for updates. The game does a good job of providing various level objectives as you go, and it's one engaging game. You can see Pet Rescue Saga 'N Action in our gameplay video below.
