Playing Guitar with Long Nails

I’ve always had to choose between playing the guitar or having long nails. But I want both, damnit! And I don’t want to have to only play open tuning like Dolly Parton (she had verrry long nails, the master momma OG of long nail playing ) and I can’t afford prosthetics tips like Tony Iommi. So I’m on a search and may have cracked the code!
