PM's 'Swarajya' Interview: Reality Check

The Prime Minister's propensity to give interviews to friendly media often means that he is able to escape confronting hard questions. His latest interview, however, to Swarajya magazine, a centre right publication and website, does not quite fall into the category of an outright puff piece. The editorial team of Swarajya, which includes R Jagganathan or Jaggi, who joins us tonight, were able to ask some searching questions, especially on the economy. Tonight on Reality Check, we attempt to fact check, the multiple claims made by the PM, who rattled off facts and figures at an even higher rate than normal.
