Poco X2 specifications
Display: The Poco X2 gets a 6.67-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
Chipset: The phone uses a Snapdragon 730G chipset.
RAM: You get an option to choose between 6GB and 8GB RAM options.
Storage: The device comes with an option to choose between 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage. Poco uses UFS 2.1 storage.
OS: The Poco X2 ships with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 along with Poco launcher on top.
Rear cameras: You get a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor as the main camera that's assisted by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera.
Front cameras: The Poco X2 gets a 20-megapixel main camera that's assisted by a 2-megapixel depth camera.
Battery: The Poco X2 relies on a 4500mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging.
The Poco X2 is also the cheapest phone in India to come with a Snapdragon 730G chipset. Prior to this, the Realme X2 at Rs 16,999 had this title. The Snapdragon 730G is a gaming-oriented chipset with a powerful Adreno 618 GPU that promises better gaming results.
-Since the Poco X2 uses an LCD panel, the fingerprint sensor has been mounted on the power button. Poco says the unique positioning of the fingerprint scanner helps with easy unlocking. As soon as one picks up the phone and presses the power button, the fingerprint scanner is available easily to the thumb or the index fingers, making it a faster unlock method than face unlock.
-Poco is also using the 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor for the first time on the Poco X2. Poco promises higher detail levels as well as natural colours compared to other 64-megapixel cameras. The X2 is also assisted by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and two 2-megapixel camera, with one of them being the macro camera. The macro camera can let you go as close as 2cm to the subject.
-Poco is giving a 27W fast charger in the box. With this charger, you can recharge the 4500mAh battery to 44 per cent within 30 minutes.
-Despite starting at Rs 15,999, the Poco X2 carries a Gorilla Glass 5 build as well as a metal frame. The phone also offers an IR blaster, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port. Poco says the camera can also record 960fps slow motion videos as well as RAW format still images.
-Poco is shipping the X2 with MIUI 11 based MIUI for POCO, which is essentially MIUI 11 with the Poco launcher on top. The phone is already running on Android 10 out-of-the-box.
Poco X2 price and variants
The base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will retail for Rs 15,999. The other variant comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which you can buy for Rs 16,999. The top-end variant offers a storage of 256GB and that will set you back by Rs 19,999. The Poco X2 will be on sale for purchase on Flipkart starting from February 11. ICICI Bank debit and credit card users also get an additional Rs 1,000 off on the Poco X2 while making the purchase.
