Poetry for Peace | Madeline Lomprey | TEDxLutherCollege

Maybe all of Shakespeare’s work were intended to create peace, have you ever wondered about that? Madeline Lomprey truly believes that poetry is a tool to create peace. In her Talk, she explains how expressing feelings and conflicts through art can help understand each other at a deeper level, that can solve conflicts. Madeline Lomprey is a sophomore at Luther College, from Waunakee, Wisconsin. Studying International Studies with a concentration in Peace and Conflict is allowing her to study the field of her passion.Starting in January 2020, Madeline will spend a semester studying abroad at The University of Oslo, in Oslo, Norway. There, she will dive deeper into her study of Peace and Conflict. Madeline works in Luther Admissions as a Diversity Ambassador, where she helps to recruit potential students.
