Police arrest man suspected of stealing donation jar for Union Township veteran

CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - Union Township Police say they picked up their suspect in the theft of donations made to help a local veteran after both his legs were amputated. Police believe surveillance video shows Jason Bowman as he pockets the donation jar on the counter at the Hilltop Marathon in Mt. Carmel. The veteran was a regular customer at the Marathon. Jason Bowman was picked up Wednesday morning in the Bethel area. The money was being collected to help Jimmy, a long-time customer who is living in a nursing home. The Navy veteran and his wife need help making ends meet The store is still accepting donations for Jimmy and his family at Hilltop Marathon at 647 Old State Route 74.
