Post Mortem 22.- A Greek woman in Paris

A panel print (a slightly larger format than the cabinet print) showing the body of a woman laid out on a bed, with a background of floral wallpaper. The photographer is Vathis of 42, rue Vivienne, Paris. Originally from Greece, Solon Vathis is listed at this address during the 1880's and 1890's. The portrait was aquired from a dealer in Athens, strengthening the impression that the dead woman was also Greek.
